“Kidnap and Ransom Insurance” is proposed to our future clients looking for high protection of their life and assets.
These persons are in general those who possess a large fortune, VIPs and Key Men in companies even of a medium size.
If he or she does not have such Insurance, the hostage’s family together with the management of the company may face a multitude of problems such as:
- Finding a qualified negotiator as the person designated to manage the crisis and negotiate with unscrupulous and dangerous people (the kidnappers who have transformed kidnapping into an industry which brings them much more money than any income from other organised crime).
- The family must find a considerable amount of money at a crucial moment of intense pressure in order to save the life of the hostage and to satisfy the demands of the
kidnappers, while staying calm enough to act rationally.
- Even if the family possesses a large fortune, the amount is invested in different places. The most critical objective is to urgently find liquid cash.
- Knowing the financial situation of the hostage, each person solicited by the family can make promises but will not act upon their promise unless they can guarantee a large personal profit.
Under such circumstances, the family has no choice but to:
- Sell the hostage’s shares at an inconvenient moment.
- Sell real estate under unfavourable conditions if the amount is not sufficient.
- And/or sell valuable pieces of art and/or jewellery at less than half price.
In short you risk losing a colossal amount of money compared to a single premium, which represents less than 0.5% of the loss incurred.
You can obtain peace of mind to avoid exposing yourself to potential risk and losses.
